IAS wins NHS Tender

IAS Medical wins NHS tender.

Following a lengthy and stringent application process IAS Medical are proud to announce that we have been successful in tendering to become a supplier of medical aviation services to United Kingdom Transport for Transplant (UKTFT) - an operating division of West Midlands Ambulance which is contracted to NHS Blood and Transplant to provide transport services for donation and transplantation across the UK.

IAS Medical will provide aircraft on a 24 hour 365 days a year basis to UKTFT for the urgent transportation of organs for transplant nationally and where necessary internationally. We will also provide transport by air to any location within the UK, Ireland or Europe for specialist surgical teams that will retrieve organs for transplant.

IAS Medical is also approved to provide Air Ambulance charter flights to the NHS for the transportation of transplant recipient patients. The service we provide ensures that patients are quickly brought to the appropriate Hospital to undergo their life saving surgery. The patient will be collected in a range of blue light private ground ambulances and transferred onto our waiting Air Ambulance to ensure a rapid bed-to-bed patient transfer.
