Airport landing fees cut for Yorkshire Air Ambulance

Leeds Bradford International Airport (LBIA), which provides landing space for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, has discounted its landing fees for the charity, potentially saving £30,000 annually.

The airport has been home to one of the charity's two helicopters since 2000.

Tony Hallwood, commercial and aviation director at the airport, said: "Leeds Bradford International Airport are proud to support local charitable organizations and none more so than the Yorkshire Air Ambulance."The charity has operated on our south side since they were born."We are proud to have them operate from our airport and have built a strong working relationship with the charity over the years.

"Peter Sunderland, chairman of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, said: "We would like to extend our grateful thanks to LBIA for their continuous support over the years."
