Long-Term Illness

Here to help you through Long-term Illness

If you or a loved is living with a long-term illness, you may require air ambulance transportation. You may live abroad and wish to return to their home country for treatment for example, or perhaps you have travelled abroad without fully declaring your illness on their travel insurance policy.

IAS Medical’s NHS-approved air ambulance services can help transport patients with long-standing illnesses back to the UK or anywhere else in the world. Our dedicated medical teams are experienced in helping patients with a range of conditions, prioritising their comfort and care.

Prioritising your Comfort and Care

Before you fly with IAS Medical, we’ll fully consider your medical requirements. This allows our medical teams to provide the right care for your needs and allows us to make any necessary adjustments. For example, if you have a long-term breathing problem, we may need to adjust the altitude we fly at.

We understand that you may wish to have a companion travel with you. We will always endeavour to accommodate for this, although because of the medical equipment on-board our aircraft, space is often limited. However, where possible, we will usually accept one passenger. Their travel is subject to acceptance from our medical teams, and we ask that all passengers complete our companion health questionnaire to determine whether they’re fit to fly.
